When you find something beautiful to look at, it makes every day better.
This was the second book in my series of lessons from cats. Together with Midnight and Moonlight, it won grand prize for the children's books category from Chanticleer International Book Awards. With so many books in the running, this was an amazing accomplishment. I walked on air for days and days after receiving this award. Then it also won a Purple Dragon Award from Story Monsters.
Here's what other people said about my book:
"A beautiful book with a positive message. As with the author's first book, featuring felines, this lovely book is for all ages. I'm a grandmother and look forward to sharing this book with my 13 year old granddaughter (and fellow lover of cats). This gentle story is filled with grace. Like Star, we all find ourselves alone at times, or experiencing big changes in our lives. The moon is Star's steadfast friend, as it has been mine. The message is positive and beautiful and I closed the book believing that everything will be all right. And tonight, I will sit at the window with my cats and watch the perfectly full moon."
"Mindfulness from a cat! A lovely story about a white cat and her connection to the moon, a constant through the various experiences of life with her human adult girl."
"Another of Peggy's cat adventure books sharing the special bond between a cat and it's human friend as well as the warmth between other cats. Lessons can be learned that something as simple as the moon can bring a special connection just by beaming above you."
"A very positive message to share with children. I bought this children's book for two younger sisters who love cats. They have spent much special time with their mother enjoying the delightful story and illustrations. But the best part is they are learning important lessons about life."
"What a great illustrated book for children and adults. It's wonderful how the author weaves in the value of mindfulness and presence into the story."
"I gave them to some darling children who adored them."
I'm so pleased that I have been able to put this book into so many hands to read. This cover is my favorite of my cat books and many people are drawn to look inside it. Then the message of mindfulness is so universal that it works for any age.
