Based on a true story! Tevye was a real cat who wandered into the Bellingham Theater Guild building during a performance of Fiddler on the Roof. Found by cast and crew members, she went home with my daughter-in-law. So the story was gifted to me by one precious cat.
Here was an opportunity for me to support community theater and introduce a little bit of vocabulary related to the performing arts. I have partnered with theaters in Lynden, Ocean Shores, Broadway, and in California while this book has been offered as a fund raiser.
What did others say about this book? Here are some reviews posted on Amazon:
"A delightful story told through the eyes of Cat, a tabby cat. she discovers the magic of theater, renames herself, and finds a family. Also she finds that if you look closely, there is magic everywhere."
"Tevye wanders into a community theater production and finds a fun welcoming family environment during rehearsals and a forever family of her own. A great introduction to local theater for young children. Our community theater recently used the book for a fundraiser. A great gift."
"Peggy writes a warm fuzzy story everyone can identify with. Her curious little cat, venturing into the local theater setting is fun and adds culture to the story. A fun little read with a lesson learned, ending good for all ages."
"A magical story about a cat witnessing the magic of theater and bringing it into her own life. Such a good story and fun illustrations."
If you look, you will find a cat in each illustration, to remind readers that the cat tells the story. My third book in my series of lessons from cats, has been unique in its offering more than just a good read. I've sent checks to several theaters from profits of books sold. I continue to offer a yearly donation to Bellingham Theater Guild. Several books were given as door prizes at Bellingham Theater Guild's Bentley Awards.
This book is available in Kindle format and as a paperback book through Amazon or at Whatcom Art Market or Hamann's Gallery and Gifts in Bellingham and at Bad Rock Books in Columbia Falls, Montana. You can also order it through your favorite bookstore.
Don't you love a gift that keeps on giving?
Thanks to the people who wrote reviews from me in the past. If you have read Shadow Walkers or Montana Cats, I would love for you to write a review for Amazon. You don't need to buy it from them, but you do need to have an Amazon account.
