Cats in strollers? Yes.

Cats in backpacks? Yes.

Cat costumes? Yes.

Cat art? Yes.

Cat books? Yes.... and that's where I fit in...

Last weekend I joined cat lovers from all over for a Pop Cats immersive event at the Seattle Exhibition Hall in Seattle Center. I had my Lessons from Cats books series, as well as hand painted coasters and art with cats. I also brought some non-allergenic paper cats.

Yes, it was business for me, but so much fun.

I saw more exotic breeds of cats than at the last cat show I attended. And the people were amazing.

Cat people aren't shy about their love of cats. They wore their love proudly on T-shirts and not just a few cat tattoos. They shared their cats with other cat lovers. As you can see in the photograph, the cats got a lot of love.

There were arts and crafts activities and photo opportunities and even a special enclosure for playing with kittens. Quite a few cats went home with a forever family.

Love was all around. With all the craziness in the world these days, it was so nice to immerse in the sea of cat love.
